Lake Bell is set to helm “The Emperor’s Children”.
The adaptation of Claire Messud’s novel will be Bell’s second directorial credit, following her award-winning debut film “In A World”.
Set in New York, the 2006 book follows three entitled but unsuccessful 20-somethings who orbit the life of a famous journalist in the months before and after the events of 9/11.
Noah Baumbach is writing the screenplay with Brian Grazer and Erica Huggins producing.
