McGowan may have officially signed on for remake
Rose McGowan may have been cast as Barbarella in director Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming remake, says IESB.net. Yeah I know, you’ve heard it all before, but this time there’s something in it – when McGowan’s agents don’t flat out deny the rumour and patch journalists over to the PR division, you’ve gotta suspect there’s something going on.
McGowan, who worked with Rodriguez on ‘’Grindhouse’’ and ‘’Sin City,’’ has been the director’s first choice for the scantily-clad heroine since day one. She even agreed to play model for her friend (special friend) in a promo reel that showcased the fx he’d hope to use in the film.
If Rodriguez is indeed trading bloomers with McGowan, ya think he’s gonna overlook her for the lead role? Me thinks not. Not when she’s got a direct line to the doctor of death… and most likely owns a sharp pair of bone-cutting scissors.
