Mike Starr’s probably going to win an Oscar before FOX starts talking "Daredevil 2", but CHUD brought up the subject with one of the original’s stars anyway.
When I last talked to Joe Pantoliano he said although they’ve got the option, those making "Elektra" hadn’t asked him to return to reprise his role as "Daredevil" reporter Ben Urich for the spin-off. Seems nothings changed.
What did you think of the Daredevil director’s cut that just came out?
Joe: I haven’t seen it. Is it like a Special Edition?
Q: Yeah, they extended the film.
Joe: Oh, I would imagine it’s longer.
Q: They didn’t tell you they were doing that?
Joe: No, but I’ll still get the checks.
Q: Are you going to do Daredevil 2?
Joe: Are they doing it?
Q: Not yet.
Joe: I don’t know. They actually bought me for Daredevil 2, but they have to exercise the option.
Q: Did you do a cameo in the Elektra movie?
Joe: No, I didn’t. I’ve been getting a lot of calls on that. As I always say, and I really believe this, there aren’t any small parts, only small paychecks. I don’t do cameos unless there’s a big paycheck next to it, a couple of zeros next to that small part.
