Casting is underway for the female lead in director Len Wiseman’s “Total Recall” reboot. The film, starring Colin Farrell in the lead role, won’t be so much based on the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger as it will the original Philip K.Dick story “We Can Remember it for you Wholesale”.
Besides the fact that there’ll be no mars or three-boobied ladies, the characters remain the same.
Kate Bosworth (“Superman Returns”) is up for the role of Lori Quaid, the character Sharon Stone played in the Paul Verhoeven film, says Deadline.
Diane Krueger was also said to be reading for the part but the actress has pulled herself out of the race.
Those in contention to play Melina, previously played by Rachel Ticotin, include Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes (she’s also being looked at for Lori), Paula Patton and Eva Green.
