It’s alive… but at New Line

Warner’s long-gestating feature film adaptation of Stephen King’s “It” is now.. New Line’s long-gestating feature film adaptation of Stephen King’s “It”.
The Hollywood Reporter mentioned today that Warner has shovelled “It” over to it’s Newline label (You’ll recall that Warner swallowed whole Bob Shaye’s New Line Cinema a couple of years ago) – where it’s proposing to produce two films (makes sense) out of the book.
Warner will apparently be making most of its horror fare through New Line now (not sure if that means “Blended” will be moving over – sorry! Uncalled for, I know).
Cary Fukunaga (“True Detective”) is still attached to direct the “It” movie/s – and he seems an appropriate choice too, considering the first half of the flick will fix on the main characters as kids, and the second will catch-up with them as adults.
Fukunaga scripted the film alongside Chase Palmer (the first and last names of “24” characters? Dude is already cool.)
