Jake Johnson (“New Girl”) has joined the cast of Universal’s “The Mummy”.
He joins Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella in the cast, with Annabelle Wallis in talks to join them.
According to THR, Johnson will play a member of the military in a role created specifically for him. Cruise plays a special forces soldier and Boutella plays the titular monster.
Jon Spaihts wrote the script which is set in the present day.
Directed by Alex Kurtzman, “The Mummy” will open on June 9, 2017.
