James Corden & Rose Byrne in talks to join Peter Rabbit

James Corden and Rose Byrne are in negotiations to star in a live-action/CG hybrid adaptation of “Peter Rabbit” for Sony.

Based on the Beatrix Potter story, Sony’s new version is said to be a modern interpretation of the tale, focusing on the rivalry between mischievous young Peter Rabbit and Mr. McGregor.

Should the deals come off, Corden would voice Peter Rabbit and Byrne would take a live-action role.

Will Gluck will direct the film and produce with Zareh Nalbandian of Animal Logic Entertainment. Rob Lieber penned the screenplay, however Gluck is reportedly revisiting it.
