James Wan, out promoting “The Conjuring 2” (see our interview with James here), has naturally been quizzed a bit by interviewing media on his plans for his next film, “Aquaman” which is his next cab off the rank.
In addition to revealing that DC/Warner actually offered him both “The Flash” and “Aquaman” (he says here why he went with the latter over the former), the filmmaker talked a little about the bad guys he’s looking at using for the watery blockbuster.
“I gotta say, one thing I love about the Aquaman world is all the really different, really interesting characters”, Wan tells Cinema Blend. “They are interesting characters, including the villains – I’m not going to tell you which villains I’m going to play with! [laughs] But they’re super cool. They’re very larger than life, but they’re unique.”
“Aquaman”, starring Jason Momoa in the lead role, is out July 2018.
