Yesterday we brought you the news that “Resident Evil” is set to return with a 6-film reboot. Today, Deadline reports that horror-king James Wan has been brought aboard to produce the first of the reboots. The script for the first film will be written by Greg Russo, and reports are that there will be an entirely new cast.
No word yet on director, but to have Wan produce is a good start for the film, as he has his name attached to some big name and very successful films. At the minute, he is directing “Aquaman”.
The “Resident Evil” franchise has made a metric tonne of money, so hopefully the new films will also kick some goals for Constantin Films.
