Jamie Foxx teams with Muppets for new movie!

Jamie Foxx is in early talks to star in ”Happytime Murders”, the Jim Henson co project that’s been in development for quite a few years now, Heat Vision reports.

The dark, R-rated puppet project was at one time headed for the big screen with Katherine Heigl attached.

Brian Henson helms the action-comedy, set in a world where humans and puppets co-exist, which has been with STX since 2015.

Foxx will play an alcoholic, LAPD detective turned private eye investigating the murders of ‘puppets’ who starred in ’80s children’s TV show “The Happytime Gang”. Assisting him on the case is his former human partner (Heigl maybe? Doubtful, I’m sure she’s long gone from this one).

The latest script was penned by Eric and Jon Hoeber, who wrote the “Red” films.
