Jay Roach is set to rewrite and possibly direct Amblin Entertainment’s sci-fi romance “Intelligent Life”.
The original script was penned by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, and centres on a United Nation employee who makes contact with a beautiful woman, who may be an alien, while monitoring outer space (via Variety).
Ava DuVernay was previously on board to direct with Lupita Nyong’o set to star, however both have since exited the project.
Amblin is producing with Trevorrow, Frank Marshall, and Peter Saraf. Connolly and Marc Turtletaub are exec producing.
