Actress cum filmmaker Lake Bell (“In a World”) has wrangled Jeff Bridges for her next stint behind the camera.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bridges will star in “The Emperor’s Children”, Bell’s adaptation of Claire Messud’s best-selling novel.
Noah Baumbach wrote the script, described as “a quintessential New York narrative as it tells the abstruse life of a legendary journalist and liberal opinion-maker named Murray Thwaite, exposing the ambition and pride of his family and friends, and his entanglement with his daughter’s best friend, all in the days leading up to 9/11.”
Producing are the Imagine Entertainment gang – Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and co.
The film is expected to lens later this year.
