Jeff Goldblum probably back for Independence Day 2

Jeff Goldblum, outta of that Jacuzzi, into that smoking jacket, and over to Fox. You got a cheque to pick up, brudda.

The “Transylvania 6-500” star says he’s been talking up the possibility of doing the Independence Day” sequel- which has been in the works longer than I’ve been out of clothed bum covering.

The actor – rudely left out of the upcoming “Jurassic Park” sequel, “Jurassic World” – would be back as computer hacker David.

“I had a meeting and have been talking over the last several months or year with Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin, the producer,” Goldblum told Time.com. “[They] say they have a part for me in what they hope will be a plan to make another one pretty soon.”

“‘Nebulous until actually’ is what that file is under,” he joked about his possible appearance in the 2016 sequel. “They’re still talking about it and I’ve heard recent rumblings here and there about it, and ‘Oh, there’s a [script] coming in’ — maybe last weekend there was a script handed in, so it’s brewing.”

In other words, he’s as good as a lock. Same with Bill Pullman, who’ll be back as [ex] President Thomas Whitmore. Will Smith, being the greedy bad-movie-picket that he is, won’t be returning.
