Jennifer Garner’s having a Very Bad Day

Jennifer Garner’s ditching the butter for cheese, joining Steve Carell in his latest venture.

The former “Alias” star is in talks to join Carell’s “Alexander And The No Good, Very Bad Day”, based on the slightly longer-titled children’s book Alexander And The Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, according to THR.

Director Miguel Arteta’s adaptation has Carell playing the title character’s father, with Garner now slotted in to play mama.

Production begins in the Fall on the movie – another plum offering for Garner, who also has roles in the forthcoming “Dallas Buyers Club” with Matthew McConaughey and “Draft Day” with Kevin Costner. No tardy “Elektra” spin-off telemovie for Spike in the near future, then?
