Jeremy London, Ethan Suplee returning for Mallrats 2

Over the past few days, filmmaker Kevin Smith’s been stalking the stars of his ’90s comedy “Mallrats” to coax them into returning for his recently-announced sequel. So far, he has Jason Lee, Michael Rooker, Stan Lee (yes, that Stan Lee), Shannen Doherty, and his buddy Jason Mewes (reprising, of course, Jay to Smith’s Silent Bob).

While there’s no word yet on Ben Affleck (he needs the work, right?), Claire Forlani, Joey Lauren Adams, Renee Humphrey, or Priscilla Barnes, Smith has announced he’s been successful in retaining the services of two other originals.

Jeremy London, who played T.S Quint in the original, and Ethan Suplee, who played William, are locked in.

“Mallrats 2” begins production next Spring.
