Jessica Lucas conquered Michael Mancini, now she’s taking on The Evil Dead!

Jessica Lucas, formerly of the short-lived “Melrose Place” reboot, is in talks to join the “Evil Dead” remake.

Newcomer Elizabeth Blackmore is also up for a part in the Fede Avalrez directed relaunch of the Sam Raimi-helmed franchise.

The Hollywood Reporter says Lucas will play “the best friend of the girl going through withdrawal (Jane Levy) who is also a nurse” and “Blackmore is playing the fiancée of Fernandez and new to the group.”

The film, also starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez and Lou Taylor Pucci, will begin production next month in New Zealand.
