Jetsons animated movie in the works

Though a live-action version has been mooted for years (at one stage with both Charles Grodin and Steve Martin mooted for George), Warner Bros has now opted to bring “The Jetsons” back to the screen in traditional animated form. The original series, of course, was a toon as was the 1990 film that followed.

Matt Lieberman, who Warner also has working on an upcoming animated “Scooby Doo” movie for the big screen, has been tapped to bring the spacely family back to the multiplex – sans Tiffany.

Hopefully the movie is tolerable enough that it doesn’t have us yelling ‘get me off this crazy thing!’ mid-viewing.
