Common will play the antagonist to Keanu Reeves’ protagonist in Lionsgate’s “John Wick 2″.
Chad Stahelski is directing the film with production set to begin this week.
2014’s “John Wick” centred on an ex-hitman (Reeves) who is re-enters the tangled underworld of assassins in search of vengeance when gangsters break into his home, beat him up and kill his dog.
Plot details for the sequel are being kept under wraps, however THR reports Common will play “the movies’ chief villain, a head of security for a female crime lord”.
