Josh Duhamel to make directorial debut on The Buddy Games

Eye candy of “Transformers: The Last Knight” (actually, most movies he’s in) Josh Duhamel is set to sit in the director’s chair as he makes his directorial debut in WWE Studios movie “The Buddy Games”.

Not only will Duhamel be taking on the directing duties, but he’s also starring in the film, producing it with Jude Weng, and also penned the script alongside Jude Weng and Bob Schwartz. Talk about a Jack of all trades! Wrestling stars Seamus and Nick Swardson will also star in the flick.

Duhamel announced the news on the WWE Raw broadcast, and the film is set to begin filming in Vancouver in August. “The Buddy Games” follows a group of thirty-somethings who reunite to play the Buddy Game, which is a bunch of physical and mental challenges. In doing so, they learn the true meaning of friendship, heal old wounds and right past wrongs. Assuming Duhamel will be on the of the thirty-somethings, it’s impressive for a 44 year old to achieve such a feat. Lucky you, Fergie – that’s all I have to say.

Thanks to Deadline.
