Josh Lawson lends his lungs to Free Birds

Australia’s Josh Lawson (“The Campaign”, “Anchorman : The Legend Continues”) will give his tonsils a workout via Jimmy Hayward’s (“Horton Hears a Who”) newest animated comedy, “Free Birds”.

Lawson’s vocals will be heard alongside the likes of Hollywood hot-shots Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler, Dan Fogler and the legendary Keith David (“The Thing”) in the bird toon flick.

The Relativity/Reel FX joint-venture is described as a “buddy comedy for audiences of all ages” about “two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.”

Lawson was announced today, along with Hispanic radio personality Eddie ‘Piolin’ Sotelo (”Ice Age: Continental Drift”) and drummer for the world-renowned rock band Tool Danny Carey.
