Justin Theroux in talks for The Girl On The Train

Justin Theroux is in negotiations to join Emily Blunt, Haley Bennett and Rebecca Ferguson in “The Girl On The Train”.

Disney has also just announced it will released the film on October 7.

Tate Taylor is directing the adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling thriller about hard-drinking recent divorcee Rachel Wilson (Blunt), who spends her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple that live in a house that her train passes every day. When Rachel hears that Megan (Bennett), the wife, has gone missing, she tries to find out what happened.

Ferguson plays Anna, the former mistress and now new wife of Rachel’s ex husband, Tom.

Theroux will play Tom, the role which Chris Evans was attached to play, but whose deal was never done due to scheduling conflicts.

Jared Leto and Edgar Ramirez are also attached to the film.

The news comes via THR.
