In what would be a very cool casting move, Kristen Stewart, James Franco and Helena Bonham Carter are circling a JT Leroy biopic.
According to THR, the film goes behind the real-life story of JT LeRoy, “a woman who pretended to be a man who identifies as transgender, tricking the rich and famous in Hollywood, the fashion world and elite literary circles”.
Franco is attached to the project while Stewart and Carter are currently in negotiations.
From writer/director Justin Kelly, the project is based on the memoir and life rights of Savannah Kroop, who, in 2006, was identified as the person portraying JT LeRoy.
