Kristen Stewart is in talks to join “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk”.
Ang Lee is helming the film which stars Joe Alwyn in the titular role with Steve Martin and Garrett Hedlund co-starring.
Stewart would play Kathryn, the older sister of Billy, a 19-year-old Texas-born infantryman who survives a firefight in Iraq in 2005. As a result, the Bush administration bring him and his fellow servicemen home for a victory lap that leads them to the Dallas Cowboys’ football stadium where they’re honored during the team’s Thanksgiving halftime show before they return to war in Iraq.
Simon Beaufoy penned the screenplay based on Ben Fountain’s novel.
Producers are Lee, Marc Platt, Stephen Cornwell, Rhodri Thomas and Simon Cornwell.
