Laura Palmer’s shrink checks into Cross’s directorial debut

With his Netflix residuals, “Arrested Development” star David Cross has decided to make a movie.
Deadline says the hairless funny man has shot a dark comedy – something fairly low-budget – that fixes on fame in the YouTube era. In other words, he’s made a film about Charlie biting fingers and drawing blood.
“Hits” features a cast – or likely Cross’s buddies – including Matt Walsh, Meredith Hagner, James Adomian, Derek Waters, Wyatt Cenac and Jake Cherry. Julia Stiles, Michael Cera, Dave Koechner, Amy Sedaris, Jason Ritter, Erinn Hayes, and Russ Tamblyn (Doctor Jacoby from “Twin Peaks”!).
