Lethal Weapon rebooter also writing Logan’s Run redo

Update! The Hollywood Reporter says “Gangster Squad” scribe Will Beall is writing the reboot. Beall, a real-life copper, is the dude writing that oh-so-unnecessary “Lethal Weapon” reboot as well. As I see it, the guy’s tying up cushy, cruisy gig after cushy, cruisy gig… after all, half the work’s already done for him.

Previously..

Umpteen years after it was first announced, the “Logan’s Run” remake is making it’s way to the starting line. Once the cap-gun is clicked, you’ll see Ryan Gosling giving his best sprint.

Yep, according to Deadline, Gosling (“Blue Valentine”) will play the old Michael York role in director Nicolas Winding Refn’s remake of the 1976 futuristic drama. Gosling and Refn just wrapped work on “Drive”.

Gosling will play ‘Logan 5’, a chap whose job it is to put to permanent sleep those who have reached a certain age (in the novel it was 21, but the age was tweaked to coincide with York’s age in the film).

Bryan Singer and Carl Erik Rinsch were previously attached to the remake. What do you guys think of Refn now handling things over on “Logan’s”?

“I can’t believe this is happening again…” Yep, Hangover 2 trailer online!
