Live-action Pokemon movie sets writing duo

Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch are in negotiations to write Legendary’s “Pokemon” film, reports Variety.

Based on the upcoming game “Detective Pikachu”, the film is set to become the first ever live-action “Pokemon” movie. Plot details remain under wraps.

Production will likely get underway next year.

Legendary nabbed the rights to the “Pokemon” franchise recently, just two weeks after the “Pokemon Go” app was released and became hugely popular around the world.
