London has Fallen loses it’s director.. just six weeks out from shooting!

Millennium’s “London has Fallen” – the sequel to “Olympus has Fallen”, with Gerard Butler front and center again – has lost it’s director.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Fredrik Bond has fallen out of the project due to “creative differences”.

The film, just six weeks from shooting, only hired Bond last month. Sources tell the trade that “those differences may be a result of the movie’s accelerated schedule and Bond only coming aboard in August. One insider said prep time was a factor.”

London is to begin shooting at the end of October, with actors Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett and Melissa Leo.

Gerard Butler doesn’t begin on the film until February; he’s busy filming Warner Bros and Skydance’s “Geostorm”.

A new director is expected to be locked-in over the weekend.
