Look Who’s Talking remake moves forward with Girl’s Trip star

They’ve been talking about a redo of “Look Who’s Talking” since, well, the last one went to the dogs. Literally.

In 2019, Deadline reported that “The Wedding Ringer” helmer Jeremy Garelick was attached to write and direct the remake and “Donnie Darko” producer Adam Fields was assigned to help bring the project to fruition.

The Illuminerdi said the project is now inching forward, with the increasingly in-demand Tiffany Haddish (“Night School”, “Bad Trip”) starring.

Sounds like the reboot has no connection to the original – so don’t be hoping for a Gilbert Gottfried cameo.

Holly Fields, a career driven sports reporter unexpectedly becomes pregnant with twins. Now a single mother of a twin daughter and son, Holly is struggling to balance motherhood and the career she loves. Holly finds an unlikely babysitter in Pete, an easygoing Lyft driver who is excellent with children. Pete and Holly’s relationship grows into something more and Holly’s twins have a lot to say about it.

Same story as the original Amy Heckerling comedy – which saw Bruce Willis provide the voice of a baby, alongside onscreen parents Kirstie Alley and John Travolta – which is, despite the sequels, far better than you remember.
