Ludi Lin is the Black Power Ranger

Lionsgate‘s “Power Rangers” movie has cast its Black Power Ranger.

Ludi Lin has landed the role, starring opposite Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger and Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger.

Dean Israelite is directing the film from a script by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. Producers are Haim Saban, Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur.

The project will reimagine the origins of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of high school kids given extraterrestrial powers who unite to save the world.

“Power Rangers” will open on January 13, 2017.

The team is coming together! #LudiLin is morphing into the #BlackRanger in 2017 for the @PowerRangersMovie.
