Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and scribe Dan Sterling are developing “Citizen Floyd,” a comedy that has landed a put pilot commitment at Fox.

According to Variety, “the half-hour, single camera laffer is described as a workplace comedy with political, action and suspense elements.”

 

 

Kickstart Productions has nabbed the rights to Ann Aguirre’s “Razorland” trilogy and is developing the first book in the series for film and TV.

The first book, titled “Enclave”, centres on a girl from an underground enclave in which no one lives past the age of 25. She is exiled out of darkness to the uninhabitable surface in punishment for a crime she did not commit.

 

 

 

John Cho and Malcolm-Jamal Warner will guest star in Showtime’s “House of Lies”.

Cho will play Sean Chew, the messianic billionaire CEO of a revolutionary retailer who has radical philosophies about organizational structure.

Warner will play his suffering COO, Yurgen Celebi, who calls upon his old business school friend, management consultant Marty Khan (Don Cheadle), and his team to save Sean’s company from himself.

The 10-episode fifth season will premiere next year.

 

 

A teaser for “American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson” has been released.

ABC Family (soon to be Freeform) has ordered a fifth season of “Switched at Birth”.

Katie Leclerc, Vanessa Marano, Constance Marie, D.W. Moffett, Lea Thompson, Lucas Grabeel and Sean Berdy star in the show opposite guest star Marlee Matlin.

The season four finale will air on Monday, October 26th.

 

 

Caitlyn Jenner’s E! docuseries “I Am Cait” has landed a second season order, reports Variety.

Jenner serves as an exec producer on the show. The first season followed Jenner as she navigated her new life living as a transgender woman, while advocating for the transgender community.

Season 2 will air next year.

 

 

ABC has cancelled its sci-fi summer series “The Whispers” after the first season.

From creator Soo Hugh, the show “follows children who all communicate with the same invisible friend who gives them instructions, resulting in dangerous situations” (via Variety).

 

 

Nia Vardalos has landed a recurring role in Epix’s political satire “Graves”.

Nick Nolte stars as a former U.S. president determined to right the wrongs of his administration, while his wife Margaret (Sela Ward) launches her own Senate campaign.

Vardalos will play Annie, Margaret’s old friend and campaign manager.

 

 

Nikki M. James has joined CBS’s upcoming comic-thriller “Brain Dead” from Robert and Michelle King.

James will play Rochelle, a medical resident whose father has died from a mysterious infection. She teams with Laurel (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) to learn what happened to her father, and protect others from the same fate.
