Mad Max Fury Road Headed to South Africa? Photos of the Vehicles being Used

There have been a lot of rumours circulating regarding the on-again off-again “Mad Max : Fury Road” – namely, the filming location. Originally due to shoot a year back in South Australia, but postponed due to inappropriate weather conditions, the George Miller-directed sequel is supposedly on for a 2012 start. But is South Australia still Max’s terrain? Seems not.

A speedy-fingered snapper over at MadMaxMovies saw some of the vehicles that were built for the film being transported back to Sydney (photo proof below) from Broken Hill. The photographer was informed by the trucker that the vehicles were bound for South Africa, which is assumingly the new film location.

So many bickies have already been spent on this film, starring Tom Hardy (in the role made famous by Mel Gibson) and Charlize Theron, that one can’t imagine they’ll just scrap it… but then again, I’d had the same thought about Miller’s abandoned “Justice League” project.

Yet another hitch in the long-gestating fourth jaunt of the Road Warrior, hey!?

So what do you suggest guys? Think it’ll still happen?
