Director John Madden (“The Second Best Exotic Marigold Motel”, “Shakespeare in Love”) will direct “Ms. Sloane”, a heavy piece about gun control.
According to Deadline, Jonathan Perera’s script fixes on a lobbyist who takes on the powerful gun lobby to push through federal gun control legislation.
The FilmNation Entertainment production is apparently already keen on getting Jessica Chastain (from Madden’s “The Debt”) onboard to play the lead, “the seasoned lobbyist who, with her small team of politicos, attempts to pass the hot-button legislation into federal law while going up against well-financed and unscrupulous members of the gun lobby.”
