Mann, I wanna see a Ferrari movie!

Michael Mann (“Miami Vice”, “Public Enemies”) will direct a bio on car magnate Enzo Ferrari.

According to Variety, the movie will be based on the book “Enzo Ferrari: The Man, the Cars, the Races” and is expected to go before the cameras sometime next year.

Two scripts had been written for the film – Troy Kennedy Martin (“The Italian Job”) and David Rayfield (“Out of Africa”) wrote them, respectively – which have been turned into one.

Sydney Pollack was attached to direct the project in 2010, with Al Pacino playing Ferrari.

Niels Juul is executive producing.
