Although “Spider-Man” is set to appear in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” thanks to a deal struck between Marvel and Sony, it’s been a question of late whether we’ll see any Marvel characters crossing back into the upcoming “Spider-Man” film.
Now Marvel president Kevin Feige has confirmed to EW that there will indeed be some Marvel heros making appearances opposite Tom Holland in Sony’s “Spider-Man”.
“He is in the universe now, and the fun of the universe is that characters go back and forth,” Feige said.
Which characters will appear in “Spider-Man” and in what sort of capacity remains a mystery.
Jon Watts is directing the solo “Spider-Man” film which stars Holland in the titular role with Marisa Tomei on board to play Aunt May and Zendaya as a character named Michelle.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein penned the script, with the film set to open on July 7, 2017.
