ABC has handed out a pilot order to “Marvel’s Most Wanted”, the superhero series in which Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood reprise their “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” roles Bobbi Morse (aka Mockingbird) and Nick Blood (Lance Hunter). The series is no longer being structured as a spin-off of that series though but rather as a “new take focusing on the same duo and their continuing adventures” according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The trade says it’s too early to say whether the series will launch as a backdoor pilot as an episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D”, which is about to enter it’s third season.
“Marvel’s Most Wanted” retains the team from last year’s proposed “S.H.I.E.L.D” spin-off : executive producer Jeffrey Bell (”Angel”, ”The X-Files”) and series writer Paul Zbyszewski (”Lost”), with Marvel TV head Jeph Loeb also attached as an EP.
