Star Tom Holland has revealed the official title of Marvel’s upcoming “Spider-Man” movie, which will be called “Spider-Man Homecoming”.
“It really is a homecoming,” Holland told the crowd at Sony’s CinemaCon presentation, “because, throughout the movie, Peter is trying to find out who he is and where he belongs in this world.”
This announcement follows news that characters from throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe will appear alongside Spidey in “Spider-Man Homecoming”.
Jon Watts is directing “Spider-Man Homecoming” which stars Holland in the titular role with Marisa Tomei on board to play Aunt May and Zendaya as a character named Michelle.
John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein penned the script, with the film set to open on July 7, 2017.
