Matt Reeves no longer directing Twilight Zone reboot

“Cloverfield” director Matt Reeves is no longer attached to direct Warner Bros’ new “Twilight Zone” movie.

Variety’s Justin Kroll says Reeves was forced to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. While it isn’t stated, one can only imagine Reeve’s recent deal with 20th Century Fox Television is the spanner that’s been thrown in the works, preventing him from taking on the much-coveted gig.

Christopher Nolan, Alfonso Cuaron, Michael Bay and Rupert Wyatt were said to be in talks for “Twilight Zone” before Reeves signed on so chances are they’ll be re-approached now that there’s a position to fill.
