Matt Saracen tackles Purge sequel

Zach Gilford’s scored another touchdown for Universal.

The former “Friday Night Lights” quarterback has joined the cast of the studio and Blumhouse’s “The Purge” sequel, says THR.

Michael K.Williams, Kiele Sanchez and Carmen Ejogo are also onboard the film. Frank Grillo (“The Grey”) stars.

James DeMonaco wrote and will direct the movie, due June 2014.
