Matthew McConaughey’s historical action-adventure “The Free State of Jones” has been slated to open on May 13, 2016, the same day as Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s “Snowden” and the remake of the horror classic “Friday the 13th”.
Directed by “Hunger Games” Gary Ross, the film centres on a Southern farmer who joins with slaves to lead an armed rebellion against the Confederacy.
The film was originally slated to release on March 11, 2016.
