May the Fourth Be With You! Here’s, um, two Blade Runner 2049 posters!

Warner Bros unveiled – overnight, while I was sleeping with a cat on my face, on a bottom bunk below a snoring child (don’t ask) – two new posters for “Blade Runner 2049”. Initially, I only spotted the Ryan Gosling one, saddened to see that Harrison Ford had been left off of it, but then came a solo one-sheet for Ford. If the marketing is anything to go by, Deckard’s in the film as much as Gosling’s character, the new Blade Runner.

Directed by Denis Vaginamove Villenueve, the wunderkind behind “Prisoners” and “Sicario”, “Blade Runner 2049” also features Mackenzie Davis, Jared Leto, Dave Bautista, Carla Juri, Barkhad Abdi, and Robin Wright. Flick opens in October.

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
