McQuarrie and Wolverine reunite

The sequel to “Wolverine” is already shaping up to be better than it’s predecessor (not that that’d be hard), with Fox hiring Christopher McQuarrie (“Valkyrie”, “Apt Pupil”) to pen the film.

McQuarrie, a frequent collaborator of Bryan Singer, worked on the original “X-Men” film, but didn’t take a credit.

The screenwriter pitched his take several days ago for a storyline that is set in Japan and based on the Chris Claremont-Frank Miller comicbook series “The Samurai.” That story, of course, centers on Logan’s evolution into a samurai.
