Megan Fox returns to TV for New Girl stint

“Transformers” actress Megan Fox – who started on TV sitcom “Hope & Faith” all those years ago – is returning to TV.

According to Deadline, the actress will have a recurring role on the upcoming fifth season of Fox’s “New Girl”.

Fox will play Reagan, a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakesNew Girl logo things up in the loft when she rents out Jess’ (Zooey Deschanel) room while she is sequestered on jury duty.

Fox will debut in the sixth episode of the upcoming season, scheduled to premiere in January.

“It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it,” ”New Girl” creator/executive producer Liz Meriwether said of Fox. “I’ve been a fan of her comedic skills since This Is 40, and I’m so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part – she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up.”

Filmwise, Fox will next be seen in “Zeroville” and the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” sequel.
