Morel Taken with Hitman movie

“Taken” director Pierre Morel will direct “The Hitman’s Bodyguard”, about “a protection agent who is forced to escort to the Hague a hitman awaiting his chance to testify against a war criminal and ex-head of state of an Eastern European country.”.

Harry Houdini movie in the works

Chernin Entertainment is prepping “The Houdini Box”, based on Brian Selznick’s 1991 young adult novel of the same name. It tells of a young magician who meets his idol, Harry Houdini, and upon probing for trade secrets, is advised that the secrets to Houdini’s magic secrets lie within a special box.

Part Machine. Part Marianne. All Cop

Marianne Jean-Baptiste (“Without A Trace”) will play Karen Dean, the chief of police, in director Jose Padhila’s “RoboCop”.

“Hangover” star sobering up for Eastwood remake

Bradley Cooper is mulling an offer for the male lead in Clint Eastwood’s “A Star Is Born” remake. In addition, the “Hangover” star is circling the J. Blakeson-helmed crime thriller ”Bad Blood and Trouble” at MRC.

Universal 100th Anniversary Collection

Universal has announced a special 25-film Blu-ray collection to celebrate the studio’s 100th anniversary of operations. The movies included in the set include such classics as “The Sting”, “American Graffiti”, “Back to the Future”, “Jaws” and “The Bourne Identity”.

Meet the “Hunger Games” cast
