Michelle Williams books into Suite Francaise

Michelle Williams is currently in talks to play the lead role in the upcoming adaptation of World War II Tale, “Suite Francaise”, according to Comingsoon.Net.
Saul Dibb (The Duchess) is attached to write and direct with; Mark Cooper and David Parfitt will produce, and have previously worked with Williams on “My Week with Marilyn”.

Written by Irene Nemirovsky and published in 2007, “Suite Francaise” tells the remarkable tales of men and women thrown together in circumstances beyond their control as Parisians flee their city. The story then moves on to a provincial village occupied by German soldiers, where the residents must learn to coexist with the enemy.

When Nemirovsky began working on Suit Francaise, she was already a successful writer living in Paris; however, her Jewish background led to her being arrested and deported to Auschwitz, where she later died.

Sixty-four years later, her work resurfaced and was published to critical acclaim.
