More Zombies in Emma Stone’s future

Looks like Emma Stone is getting ready to tackle the undead once again. After starring in the hit 2009 film ”Zombieland”, Stone better remember how to defeat the zombies because the ”Easy A” actress has just been offered the lead role in Craig Gillespie’s adaptation of ”Pride and Prejudice and Zombies”.

According to THR, after things didn’t work out with actresses like Mia Wasikowska and Anne Hathaway, Lionsgate moved ahead with their next choice in Stone.

”Pride and Prejudice” sets Jane Austen’s novel in Regency-era England, where zombies roam the countryside — and interfere in the lives of Austen’s classic characters.

Stone is the first confirmed cast member for the project, which has been scripted by Seth Grahame-Smith and Marti Noxon. She will next appear in Disney’s ”The Help” and will play Gwen Stacy in next summer’s ”The Amazing Spider-Man”. (I’m totally excited for that one!!)

Natalie Portman is producing along with Annette Savitch, Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick and Tedd Hamm.
