“Deadpool” has cast its leading lady in “Homeland’s” Morena Baccarin.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Baccarin will star opposite Ryan Reynolds in the film based on the Marvel character after beating out a number of other potential female leads.
Tim Miller is helming the action-adventure flick which will see Reynolds play an assassin who undergoes a procedure to cure his cancer that ends up leaving him twisted and scarred but also imbued with superpowers. Baccarin’s character is the love interest of Reynolds’.
TJ Miller, Ed Skrein and Gina Carano will co-star.
Production is likely to kick off in March with a February 12, 2016 release.
