Morgan Freeman has signed on to join the cast of “Ted 2”.
Variety brings the news of Freeman’s involvement in the project and reports that, while nothing has been confirmed, sources say Freeman is in line to play an iconic civil rights lawyer who assists the titular bear when he gets into some legal trouble.
Mark Wahlberg stars in director/voice actor Seth MacFarlane’s sequel which is currently shooting in Boston. Amanda Seyfried also joined the cast along with most of the stars from the original “Ted” pic. Noticeably absent from the sequel, however, is star Mila Kunis.
Scott Stuber is producing “Ted 2” which will bow June 26, 2015.
