From Pat : Hey, love the site! So I was just wondering if there was any news on the new college movie that Richard Linklater is directing? Is it a sequel to “Dazed and Confused” or a movie just set to the same tone? Any information would be great!
I know that Richard has a couple of films in the works at the moment, one of which is reported to be a sequel to Jack Nicholson’s “The Last Detail”, but I’m not sure which film in particular you are referring to. From what I know, there are no planned sequels to “Dazed” in the works, but if there was, I know I’d be first in line to see it. – Adam

From Former Superman fan, Annette : Hi! Is this Orlando Bloom rumour joining the “Superman” franchise heating up because he’s not going to be signed for “Pirates 4”?
The rumor I saw on that originated from Page Six, and for those of you who aren’t familiar with that, it’s essentially the gossip & rumor column in the New York Post. Assuming it’s true, and it was indeed Jon Peters & Bryan Singer meeting up with Orlando, it could very well be about him signing up for some kind of appearance in the next “Supes” movie. I know the story was floating around that the villain this time out was going to be Brainiac, so maybe they’ve got him in mind…. That being said, going back to this whole “Pirates 4” thing again, I have no idea what happens to young Mr. Turner in the next installment, but assuming that everyone is still breathing once the credits start, I really don’t see any reason why he wouldn’t be able to do both films (assuming there’s no scheduling conflicts AND once again assuming that there even will be another “Pirates” film). – Adam

From Chris : Hey Clint, I heard that when “Spider-Man 3” is released for home video, it will only be available on Blu-Ray DVD. Is this true?
It will really depend on where the so-called “Format War” is at that point. Sony at the moment are releasing Blu-Ray only titles, obviously because they have an inherent interest in supporting the Playstation 3, which comes with an inbuilt player. Titles such as “Casino Royale” & “Rocky Balboa” are only coming out on the regular DVD & the Blu format, bypassing the rival HD altogether. With that in mind, I would say that based on the current trend, “Spider-Man 3” will most likely be released on DVD & Blu-Ray only – oh, and by the way, the previews for “Spider-Man 2” in the Blu look absolutely phenomenal. – Adam

From Blarneyman : “Halloween” remake. Am I intrigued? No, I’m bloody appalled. It looks awful and appears to completely miss the whole point of the original. The trailer wasn’t even remotely scary. And that’s no tall order when you think of trailers for “The Grudge” remake from a few years ago. I hope the movie bombs so we can all forget about it as quickly as possible.
Does the world really need a “Halloween” remake? Nah, probably not. I am a fan of Rob Zombie though, both musically and his films. While I thought the first ¾ of “House of 1,000 Corpses” was great, the ending was horrible, but “The Devil’s Rejects” kicked ass, so I’m sure I’ll be there to see it anyway. I honestly can’t think of the last time that a trailer creeped me out though – I know that “The Grudge” didn’t do anything for me….. “1408” has a good trailer for it, but even that didn’t make me jump or anything – I think I’m getting de-sensitized in my old age (although “Hostel” was a little stomach turning for me in places – and the fingernail coming off in the “Texas Chainsaw” remake… ewwwwwwwww.) – Adam

From Pat : Alright, so I’ve been hearing for a while that Keanu Reeves and Alex Winters have been talking about bringing back Bill & Ted for one last adventure. Is there any new information regarding them actually doing it or is it just wishful thinking that a third movie would happen?
I think it’s a little of both there brother. I would say that both of them realize how popular “Excellent” & “Bogus” were, so they probably both play it up a bit to the fans about doing another one – but the truth of it is that the rumors of this have been flying around since QT started writing “Inglorious Bastards” & Sly was teaming up with Arnie to do a “Westworld” remake – just a good story that’s been going around for a long time. – Adam

From Anthony : Hello, I am a huge fan of the movie “Gremlins” and I really need to know more about “Gremlins 3”. “Gremlins” is my all time favourite movie and if you would be so kind as to send me some information about it I have searched high and low but I can’t find any information, Thanks. And I ask a lot of people and they are really counting on you guys to make “Gremlins 3” so please make it happen – thanks!
OK, here’s the info – there’s gonna be this young guy who finds a creature called a “Mogwai” in some strange back alley somewhere, and the guy who sells it to him gives him some rules: “Don’t give them water, and don’t feed them after midnight” – after he forgets to download his patch from Microsoft for Windows XP, Daylight Savings time ends up screwing him over and he gives them a snack at 12:30am, they turn into Gremlins, and hilarity & horror ensue. I’m pretty sure it will be something like that.- Adam

From Jack : Thank you so much for the Nadia Bjorlin interview. As you know she has been my choice for “Wonder Woman” from the start. I hope that the fans continue too support her for “Wonder Woman”. You never know. You have to admit, she’s got the look, and a killer body. Just what the doctor ordered. Thanks again, it’s really appreciated.
No doubt – she’s smokin’ hot, but….. well, that’s all I really have to say. – Adam

From Mike: First off let me just say that LOVE moviehole. You guys really rock. So I figured I would share this little story with you. I recently got to sit down and talk with the Director of “Dark Ride” (one Of The 8 Films To Die For). During the interview Craig Singer (Director) revealed that After Dark Films, and Lions Gate are interested in a sequel. So he is working on a “Dark Ride 2”. Here is the link to the interview
I’ll be honest and say I’ve never heard of it before, but it’s got Meadow from “The Sopranos” in it, so I’ll give that a look-see when I get the chance – good job on the interview brother – all you ‘Holers should check it out. – Adam
