Pop star to make film debut in new George Miller movie

Busty Rock-Chick Natalie Bassingthwaighte – known for fronting the band Rogue Traders, as well as her long-standing stint as the vixen Izzie on TVs Neighbours – will make her silver screen but in the new supernatural horror flick “Prey”.

According to The Herald Sun, George Miller (not that one, the other one – the one that directed “The Never Ending Story II”) has cast Jesse Johnson – Don’s son – in the lead role. No word on whether he’ll get to canoodle with the blonde beauty.

The $3.5 million dollar film starts shooting in late June.

In other local film news, Alexandra Davies (“All Saints”, “Stealth”) has snagged the lead in “Rivals” which is slated for production in late 2007. The film is the story of childhood rivals who meet again as adults amidst the superficial beauty and high pressure in the world of event design.
