Neck-nibbler biopic stakes itself a new title

Universal’s upcoming “Dracula” film has undergone a title change, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

With supernatural-themed flicks still all the rage (and even though dystopian-themed ones are fast set to overtake them), “Dracula Untold” will hit cinemas in 2014.

Directed by Gary Shore and produced by Michael De Luca, the film will tell the origin story of the man who became the most famous vampire in the world.

Luke Evans will star as the famous fanged fiend Dracula, who was originally born of the wonderfully dark mind of writer Bram Stoker.

With an opening date of October 3, 2014, “The Book of Life” – an animated comedy – is the only other film currently scheduled for release opposite “Dracula Untold”.
